Steve McCurry‘s Mountain Men exhibition opens on May 28th at Forte di Bard. In the ancient and fortified castle in Val D’Aosta, 77 photographs in different sizes have been gathered to tell the hard life of people who lives in the mountains and their extraordinary spirit of adaptibility.
The photos have been chosen among the wide photographer’s archive, with the leitmotiv of mountains. Photos of Afghanistan, of the tops in Nepal, of the highest mountain ranges between Pakistan and India, and then of Brazil, Ethiopia, Yemen and Birmania emerged. Besides these photographs, a video will be shown: 290 among the iconics shots of Steve McCurry to complete the experience in the exhibition.
Steve McCurry and Forte di Bard: the images of Val d’Aosta
In the exhibition Mountain Men, 10 images will strike attention’s visitors for his familiarity: Steve McCurry shot between 2015 and 2016 in Val d’Aosta, to portrait the landscapes and the people of the region. In the exhibition, visitors will also find the video of the backstage of this project.
