Sudest57 brings for the first time Steve McCurry‘s iconic pictures in Sardinia, at Palazzo di Città in Cagliari, with Steve McCurry Icons exhibition.
The most wonderful Steve McCurry’s pictures find place in the exhibition, chosen among forty years career. The exhibition starts a gallery of portraits, where the American photographer explores different ethinic groups.
Steve McCurry’s images testify also the tremendous effects of war. In one of the hall, visitors will find his black and white pictures from the Afghan war, which were the first images the world could see about the operations of the soviet army against mujahiddin. His iconic pictures and the most poetic images from Asia mark the end of the exhibition.
The exhibition is promoted by Comune di Cagliari Musei Civici, organized by Civita Mostre e Musei SpA, in collaboration with Fondazione di Sardegna e Sudest57.
