Forty portraits by Steve McCurry in Bologna, at Palazzo Accursio. On the occasion of the opening of the First Biennale of Cooperation, the exhibition Una Testa, un Volto. Pari nelle Differenze is open. The title is ispired by one of the value of French Revolution, “one man, one vote”, which marks the equality of everyone and in Bologna is highlights as value of equality.
40 faces from all over the world
This gallery of pictures by Steve McCurry is composed by portraits. People who look at the visitors and tell their story. Besides some of the images, you will find videos who tell the experiences of people all around the world. In just 40 photographs, we found people from the most beloved places for Steve McCurry, such as Afghanistan, India, Burma or Tibet, but also from USA, Ecuador or Paraguay, and then Europe or Omo Valley, in Ethiopia.
A collection of faces from all over the world who show us difference from the first look. Features which not stop McCurry to show the same humanity in the most different conditions and usages. This diversity arises our curiosity and pushes us to know more about the other, to create a common legacy on which to base our future of cooperation.
The exhibition is open from Nov. 30th 2018 to Jan. 6th 2019, at Collezioni Comunali – Sala Farnese of Palazzo Accursio in Bologna. It is curated by Biba Giacchetti, with Monica Fantini and Fabio Lazzari, and it is promoted by Cooperative italiane, the coordination of Confcooperative, Legacoop e Agci.
