Leggere, Steve McCurry‘s images about reading now arrives at Museo Teatro Margherita in Bari.

The exhibition Leggere gathers more than 70 photos of Steve McCurry, taken during his forty years career all over the world: from the streets of India to the Tibetan temples, not forgetting all children and the students from Africa to Asia.

Among the images with people on a book, visitors will also find a section about Steve McCurry’s publications and covers. The curator chose to show the images from the first books, The Imperial Railways or Monsoon, to the latest ones about his beloved countries, India and Afghanistan.

The exhibition, curated by Biba Giacchetti, is promoted by Comune di Bari, Regione Puglia e Città Metropolitana and organized by Civita Mostre e Musei in collaboration with Sudest57, as part of the schedule of the great Lungomare di Libri event.

La mostra Steve McCurry. Leggere, raccoglie gli scatti di uno dei fotografi più amati a livello internazionale per la sua capacità d’interpretare il tempo e la società attuale.

Il percorso espositivo, a cura di Biba Giacchetti con le scenografie di Peter Bottazzi, presenta circa 70 immagini che celebrano l’atto senza tempo della lettura, riunendo una collezione di fotografie scattate da Steve McCurry nei suoi quasi quarant’anni di viaggi.

L’esposizione, promossa da Comune di Bari, Regione Puglia e Città Metropolitana e organizzata da Civita Mostre e Musei in collaborazione con Sudest57, rientra nel palinsesto della grande manifestazione Lungomare di Libri.
