La casa di moda Emilio Pucci si è affidata al talento di Lorenzo Vitturi per interpretare la collezione FW21. Attraverso le pose plastiche della modella e performer americana Anna Cleveland, in un set ricco di colori con materiali organici e artificiali, Lorenzo ha creato una serie di sculture fotografiche eleganti e astratte chiamate “Alchimie Luminose”.

Biography

Nato a Venezia nel 1980, Lorenzo Vitturi, fotografo italiano di base a Londra, studia fotografia e design all’Istituto Europeo di Design a Roma.

Dopo la laurea, frequenta Fabrica, il centro di Benetton per la ricerca in comunicazione. Precedentemente uno scenografo di cinema, Vitturi porta questa sua esperienza nella sua pratica fotografica, che ruota attorno a interventi site specific in location scelte in maniera accurata. Vitturi usa la fotografia per creare scene di pensieri e idee, attraverso la manipolazione dello spazio, della luce e di materiali grezzi, seguendo i suoi progetti dall'ideazione alla realizzazione.

Nel 2013, Vitturi pubblica il suo primo libro, Dalston Anatomy, una raccolta di fotografie fatte nel Ridley Road Market nel quartiere di Dalston, nella East London. Vitturi crea sculture improvvisate nel suo studio con gli oggetti trovati nel mercato, come frutta, verdura, tessuti, ninnoli e oggetti vari. Alcuni di questi elementi sono stati usati come trovati, altri lasciati a maturare o marcire, e alcuni inzuppati in pigmenti vibranti. L’intenzione dietro questo progetto nasce dalla sua compulsione di raccogliere e sintetizzare la peculiare natura dell’area prima che venga gentrificata e non sia più riconoscibile. Dalston Anatomy è stato selezionato sia per Aperture e Macks’s First Book Award e nominata tra i migliori libri dell’anno da Martin Parr, Erik Kessels, The New York Times e molti altri.

Vitturi è stato premiato nel 2014 con il Photography Prize Hyères International Festival of Fashion and Photography. Il suo lavoro è stato esposto al Foam di Amsterdam, alla Photographers’ Gallery di Londra, al Yossi Milo Gallery a New York e al CNA in Lussemburgo.
